used the National Youth Day to create awareness among the people on e-transactions in this south Odisha city.
Rallies and awareness campaigns on digital currency by different organisations, including NCC Naval wing, marked the day yesterday at the Silk City. The day was observed commemmorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
While the NCC members of Naval wing1(0), Berhampur, took out a rally to raise awareness about the benefits of the electronic payment, several other organisations also organised rallies and meetings.
The cadets conducted awareness programme at Balibagada near Chhatrapur in Ganjam district. The NCC Naval wing has adopted the village. "
"Since the government is promoting cashless transaction, people should be made aware of its benefits. We think this was the right occasion to educate people, especially youths, on e-transation post demonetisaton," said an NCC member.
