Sexual assault charge on KU director of distance learning

The Kalyani University authorities today ordered its Director of the Department of Distance Learning to go on indefinite leave after a complaint of sexual assault was lodged against him.
University Registrar Debangshu Roy said the VC has received a complaint yesterday from the father of a girl student that the director had sexually assaulted her in her chamber on Sunday.
The complaint was lodged yesterday.
The registrar said a probe committee would be formed tomorrow to look into the complainant.
Sources in the university said the alleged victim had come to the director's chamber for admission on Sunday on his advice.

He ordered her brother, who was accompanying her, to go out of the chamber and sexually assaulted her, the complaint read.
