SFI to protest against shutting down Bhimrao Ambedkar varsity

The Students Federation of India (SFI) would launch a statewide agitation this month against the shut down of Bhimrao Ambedkar University, which was proposed by the previous Congress government.
A decision in this regard was taken at a two-day meeting of SFI that began today.
The agitation against the closure of the varsity by the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government will be undertaken from April 14, SFI spokesperson Ashok Kaswan said in a statement.
He said the BJP government has failed to provide jobs despite its promises of 15 lakh jobs in five years and this issue will also be raised.

The Congress government had in 2013 announced setting up of the university, but citing feasibility issue the current BJP regime declared it closed last November.
