SGPC urges people to organise prayers

Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) President Avtar Singh Makkar today urged its members including entire Sikh Sangat to organize Akhand Path Sahib (recitation of hymns)of Guru Granth Sahib in the Gurdwara of every village, town and city across the state.
Disclosing this here,Avtar Singh said that the various incidents of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib had deeply aghast the hearts of the Sikhs and impressed upon them to organize Sri Akhand Path of Sri Guru Grant Sahib Ji as a solace from the distress and agony besides well being (Chardikala) of the Sikh Panth.
On the bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Ardaas (Prayer) would be held to further strengthen the spirit of peace and communal harmony amongst all the Punjabis and entire Sikh Panth, added Avtar Singh.
