"Under him, BJP will continue to grow, work for development of India & serve all sections of our society," Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said in a tweet.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said that under Shah, BJP has strengthened its position in various states and become the largest party.
"Congratulations to our party President Amit Shah for leading it in such a magnificent way to make it the vibrant, popular and largest party," Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu tweeted.
Shah had taken over as BJP President two years ago with the then incumbant Rajnath Singh joining the Narendra Modi-led government.

Under Shah, BJP claims to have become the world's largest political party by enrolling over 11 crore members. The party has also won states like Maharashtra, Haryana and Assam for the first time but has also suffered massive defeats in Delhi and Bihar.
