BJP has joined hands with People's Democratic Party (PDP) to form government in Jammu and Kashmir with PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed becoming the Chief Minister.
"I do not think it is wrong to talk about going solo. I believe he will talk about the same thing in Jammu and Kashmir. He definitely will...I also say that the Shiv Sena should come to power on its own now," Thackeray said in an interview to Sena MP Sanjay Raut in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

Slamming Sharad Pawar for challenging him to withdraw from the BJP-led government in Maharashtra for self-respect, Thackeray said that the NCP chief should first find out the true meaning of self-respect himself.
"If Pawar saheb said that there is no self respect left in Shiv Sena, he should first find out the true meaning of the term. He first left Congress...Then rejoined it. He was then ousted from the party, when he commented on (Congress President) Sonia Gandhi. But he is still in alliance with the Congress," he said.
To a query on Sena ministers not being satisfied with the working of Maharashtra government, Thackeray said Chief Minister (Devendra Fadnavis) should take all legislators along with him, because at the end, the problems that legislators face are the problems of the people.
"People take small problems to legislators with big aspirations. If legislators themselves become frustrated, how will they face the people? But this question is not about Sena legislators alone. Some BJP legislators, too, are unsatisfied. Once again I say, taking everyone along is important but this does not mean Devendra is not doing that. But they need to be given time. Legislators' work means work of the people who have brought us to power," Thackeray said.
