Shaikh, Patel of AYN clinch gold in sailing

Ayaz Shaikh and Shubham Patel of Army Yachting Node (AYN) won the gold medal in 470 class, while Ashish Patel and Nagen Behera of EME Sailing Association bagged gold in the Senior Multi-Class Sailing championship 2017 that concluded here today.
The event, also known as Hyderabad Sailing Week, was held at the Hussain Sagar lake.
The performance of the sailors in the competition counts for selection in Olympics and Asiad teams.
Jerome Kumar S of AYN secured the gold in RS:X Class and Kamlesh Patel and Rawankar UB of the AYN stood first in Hobie-16 Class.
It was Ram Milan Yadav of National Sailing School (NSS) and Swatantra Singh of AYN who won the gold in Laser 4.7 and Finn Class respectively.

Competitions were also held as part of the event in Under-21,19,18,17 and 16 categories.
