Schock's visit to India this week is aimed at supporting international anti-poverty partnerships and global economic development.
"The Indian people are eager to assume a position in the global economy equal to their tremendous potential and they have wisely chosen a leader in Prime Minister Modi to direct their national effort.
"I am honoured to call him a friend and I share his commitment to lifting the Indian people out of poverty," Schock said about his visit with the Prime Minister.
In addition to promoting action to curb poverty and hunger, Schock is meeting with representatives of the World Bank, USAID, and US-based companies doing business in India.
