Sharif sought the pledge from ticket-seekers looking to contest elections as PML-N candidates who had come to his palatial Raiwind residence yesterday.
"Commit yourselves to work for eradicating corruption from Pakistan," Sharif told them.
"Raise your hand and say after me: I will fight against corruption and eradicate this menace from my country.
Praising the resolve of his younger brother, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to fight corruption, the former PM claimed: "No one can raise a finger at the Punjab government with regard to corruption in any project.
