Syfy has confirmed that "Sharknado" will be back for a fourth installment and viewers will have some control over where the plot goes.
The end of "Sharknado 3" saw a piece of space shuttle wreckage fall from the sky towards April Shepard (Tara Reid) before suddenly cutting to black, leaving viewers wondering whether the long-running character survived, reported Variety.
However, a message then appeared on-screen asking people at home to decide April's fate on Twitter using the hashtags #AprilLives or #AprilDies. Those without a Twitter account can also vote on the Sharknado website.
The move comes as no surprise given that the first and second "Sharknado" movies generated a lot of buzz on social media, garnering around a billion tweets between them.
