Sharma flags off awareness van against open defecation

Union Minister Mahesh Sharma today flagged off an LED van for spreading awareness against the ill effects of open defecation and make the district free from the menace.
Sharma, the Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, said that the public would be sensitized through the van as well as by 'Nukkad Nataks'(street plays).
The van, which was flagged off from the DM camp office, was sent by the state government under the awareness programme.
District Magistrtae B N Singh said that the administration plans to take the awareness campaign to 60 vilages. In a day, two villages will be covered.

The van will operate in the district for a month. Nukkad Natak teams are also accompanying it.
