Though the post-mortem on Sharma's body was conducted by a three-member expert panel at Safdarjung hospital yesterday, its final report is yet to come.
"We are mulling sending the viscera samples to the CFSL, Hyderabad for further examination, to determine the exact cause of his death," Safdarjung hospital sources said.
Earlier, a CFSL team had visited the hotel room where Sharma's body was found.
"Although we are yet to come across any clue that point towards any foul play or unnatural death, we will conclude only when we get all the lab reports," a senior police officer said.
Talking to reporters here, Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi said prima facie he was satisfied with the progress of investigation. "Will wait for viscera report," he said.
Police had yesterday said that upon inspecting the body, it was found that stool and urine had passed, indicating some sort of choking. However, whether that was internal or external would be clear only in the autopsy report.
