VanCamp first portrayed Carter, a SHIELD agent, in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and reprised her role in "Civil War".
The actor believes her part is better placed in the "Captain America" movies than in the narrative of the third "Avengers" film.
"It's hard to fit Sharon into that. She's really in Cap's world. I mean, I can't say anything about anything, but I will say that," VanCamp said, according to Contactmusic.
"She sort of fits into the 'Captain America' movies; that's where her sort of storylines. But I can tell you it's going to be like an epic two-parter. From everything that I hear, it's going to be amazing," she added.
The superheroes will battle it out against Thanos, who wants to possess all of the universes Infinity Stones in order to become all-powerful.
Director duo Anthony and Joe Russo, who helmed "The Winter Soldier" and "Civil War", are directing "Infinity War" as well as the fourth untitled "Avengers" film.
