The move is aimed at creating a safer environment for girls on campus and the selected students will act as a bridge between police and their college mates.
"Public places are already taken care of by the SHE Teams through their decoy operation. But the girl students from colleges are still not coming forward to inform the police that they were being eve-teased," Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat said.
The SHE Teams were initially launched by Hyderabad Police and now operating across the state. These teams are tasked with cracking down on eve-teasers and stalkers.
Then they will be nominated as volunteers of 'SHE FOR HER' for their respective colleges, so that any girl student, if subjected to eve-teasing from the college can approach police through them.
