"Goa government should take all-party delegation to the Centre. We should not sit with our ego like (making it into) state versus Centre," said Michael Lobo, BJP MLA, supporting the cause of those affected due to stoppage of mining activity in Goa.
Goa government recently had a tiff with the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar accusing the central ministry officials of taking bribes to give environment clearances to mines.
The Supreme court has kept the mining activity in the state on hold. The case is going to be heard next in the first week of February.
Lobo said the closure of mining activity had also affected the tourism industry as "the economic activity has slowed down".
