Shiksha Financial Services raises Rs 6.7 cr

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has made an investment of Rs 6.7 crore along with Aspada Investment Company in Chennai-based school financing firm Shiksha Financial Services India Private Limited.
Shiksha Finance, provides loans in the range of Rs 0.5 to 10 million to affordable private schools. These loans are used by the schools for education infrastructure development. Besides, it provides loans to middle and lower-income families to finance school fees of their children.
"We hope that Shiksha's offering will develop into a platform through which schools are able to access quality linked education products and services, and get financially rewarded for improving quality," India Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Education Director, Prachi Windlass said.

Transformers and Rectifiers bags Rs 96 cr order * Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd has bagged an order of Rs 96 crore from Adani Group for supply of power equipment for solar power project.
The company will supply 232 inverter duty transformers and 19 Power transformers upto 110 kV Class amounting to Rs 96 crores from Adani Group for solar power project, the company stated in a BSE filing.

It said that the Company neither has any interest in the entity that awarded the order nor fall within related party transactions.
Uniply Industries acquires 8.78% in UV Boards
* Plywood and laminate manufacturer Uniply Industries has acquired 8.78 per cent stake in UV Boards for a undisclosed sum.
In a filing to BSE today, the companies said 13,38,984 shares of UV Boards were acquired by Uniply Industries in an off-market transaction.
The UV Boards shares were sold by a promoter Dugar Mercandise.
Shares of Uniply Industries settled at Rs 301.55, up 3.59 per cent on BSE.

Sembcorp Gayatri Power completes another 660 MW unit * Sembcorp Gayatri Power has completed construction of another 660 MW unit at its thermal power plant in Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
With this the company has completed the construction of 1,320 MW capacity as the first unit of the 660 megawatts was completed in November 2016, Gayatri Projects said in a statement.
Sembcorp Gayatri Power is a joint venture between Sembcorp Utilities a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries and NCC Infrastructure Holdings Lt, which is promoted by NCC Ltd and Gayatri Energy Ventures a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gayatri Projects Ltd.

* Zee Entertainment Enterprises today said locally-produced fiction series of ZEE Middle East 'Khwaabon Ke Darmiyaan' has emerged as the highest-rated TV show among South Asians in the UAE for two consecutive months.
"The show, which started off with the highest rating recorded for any show in UAE for 2016 (average 12.1 TVR) has now bettered its own performance in January by clocking 14.5 TVR," said ZEEL in a statement.
The show was also declared the best international show at the Zee Rishtey Awards 2016 aired on February 19, it said.
