The 38-year-old actress accompanied 'India's dancing superstar' mentor Riteish Deshmukh at the ceremony held at the Yash Raj Studio here.
Dressed in a black and white fusion outfit Shilpa was given a special award at the event.
Commenting on the IPL controversy surrounding her and husband Raj Kundra, the actress said, "I need to be careful now as I am going through a bad phase. But I am really honoured that I have bagged this special award. I always get nervous when I get an award because I haven't got many in my career."
"I have choreographed for TV for the first time and I enjoyed the process. My mother is my inspiration and her support encourages me to do something unique and better everytime," he said at the gala event.
Later, the evening was attended by Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan, who promoted their upcoming venture 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again'.
The Star Parivaar awards were introduced by Star Plus in 2003 and the function will be aired soon on TV.
