The assurance was given to the PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma when he met Shinde in New Delhi on June 4, he said.
Sharma had submitted a 26-point charter of demands including creation of employment opportunities, welfare of farmers, increase of the amount of compensation to the Tsunami victims and a special financial package of Rs 3000 crore for the union territory.
Earlier last month, Sharma had taken up all these issues with the AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
