Aimed at bridging the gap between talent and employment opportunities, online job portal Shine.com has launched a career marketplace 'Shine Learning' that will offer programmes from among more than 500 courses based on industry demands in line with various skill sets.
The platform will use an algorithm that not only forecasts emerging skill sets but also recommends courses to candidates after analysing their resume and application history.
The platform will offer industry and government recognised certifications, course recommendations, user reviews and a variety of more than 500 courses from leading digital learning solutions providers across the globe.
"There is a vacuum at both employee and recruiter ends in terms of required skill set. With Shine Learning, our focus was to tap into the growing e-learning category as the industry displays huge growth prospects," Shine.com CEO Zairus Master said.
He further noted that, "Innovation is what will give us a competitive edge in today's dynamic market. The objective was to prepare India for the future."
Shine Learning will use data (both recruiters' and candidates') to map demands of various skill sets across industries, predict emerging skill shortage areas and provide courses on that basis.
