Kapur had fellow Indian S Chikkarangappa (71) for company as the Indian duo is now tied 8th at three-under 141 -- four shots behind the leaders.
Gavin Green (69) of Malaysia and Juvic Pagunsan (69) of the Philippines shared the second round clubhouse lead after second round.
Kapur, who is showing a resurgence in form despite some health issues, had three birdies against two bogeys, while Chikka had two birdies against just one bogey.
At even par 144, he was tied-19th while Gaganjeet Bhullar (73-73) was tied 42nd. Rashid Khan was one-over through 15 on second day after he shot 70 in the first round and at one- under total with three holes to play he was likely to make the cut as was Khalin Joshi, runner-up at Take Solutions Masters, who was two-under through 17 holes after making up for a first round of 74.
Green traded three birdies against one bogey for a 70 to continue his fine form while Pagunsan, the 2011 Order of Merit champion, returned with a 69 for a seven-under-par 137 total at the USD 800,000 Asian Tour event.
Overnight leader Settee Prakongvech slipped to third place following a 73 while Adilson Da Silva of Brazil carded a 68 to trail the clubhouse leaders by two shots on a 139 total at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club.
