"What will happen to the country if compensation is being provided for the killing of a militant? Mehbooba Mufti may be the Chief Minister, but BJP is equally responsible. Assistance for the killing of Khalid Wani amounts to harming the morale of our soldiers," Sena said in an editorial in the party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.
Had Congress been in power in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP would have termed it a Pakistan supporter and "enemy of the country" for such a step, it said.
The BJP ally said the people standing in queues outside banks should ponder why BJP was not enraged enough over Mufti's decision and pulling out of government in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Standing in (bank/ATM) queues is considered nationalism but there is no sign of compensation for over 100 people who lost lives standing in queues, while a militant receives compensation. What kind of justice is this?" the editorial asked.
