The actor, who portrayed the role of a teenager falling in love with his teacher on big screen, will be recreating the plot once again on the TV show.
"Funnily, when I read the story it was something similar that I had done before and this actually gave me a kind of comfort zone to play with the character.
"The only difference was that in 'Nasha' I played a vulnerable, quiet kid and whereas here I am playing a character with more confidence and outspoken attitude. It was interesting to see the same journey being taken by a different kind of character," Patil said in a statement.
