The supporters and relatives of Nyangli, who along with two others was injured in firing yesterday, demonstrated in Churu and blocked Jaipur-Bikaner highway for some time, sources said.
Nyangli was shot at when he along with his one friend and a relative was sitting inside his office in Rajgarh yesterday.
The trio was taken to a hospital at Hisar in Haryana for treatment, police said.
"We have recorded their statement and matter is being further probed," SP Churu Omprakash said.
Nyangli was politically active at the local level and no criminal background, sources said adding, his brother Virendra was shot dead in 2009.
Meanwhile, members of Rajput community staged a protest at Jaipur and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused persons.
