In his new role, Nair will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's strategy, store operations, technological innovation, and more, a company statement said.
Nair, who has spent over 19 years in the company, started his journey in Shoppers Stop with store operations and progressed into the buying and merchandising team. Subsequently, he was elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer, it said.
"Nair has been a strong pillar throughout our journey. In his last few years as COO, he has shown exceptional passion and has helped create a world-class shopping experience for our customers.
Prior to joining Shoppers Stop, Nair worked with many brands such as Carona Limited and Glaxo India Limited.
