Shops, house gutted in fire incidents in Kashmir

Six shops and a house were damaged in two fire incidents in Shopian and Kupwara districts of Kashmir, police said today.
"Fire broke out in a shopping complex at Teng Mohalla under the jurisdiction of Shopian Police Station, resulting in damage to six shops," a police spokesman said.
He said the blaze was brought under control by fire tenders.
In the second incident, fire broke out in a house at Patushahi in Kupwara district.
The house got partially damaged due to the fire, which was brought under control by fire tenders, the spokesman said.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported in these incidents, he added.
