Shruti, who is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, said though she enjoyed playing small roles in big-budget Bollywood films, she would now love to a movie that would revolve around her character.
"It is something I would be very excited about. I am ready to carry a film on my shoulder. I am prepared for a movie, where the story revolves around me. I would love to do something like that in future," Shruti told PTI
"It really depends... I can't choose between the two arrangements that is solo or multi-starrers. Ideally, we always prefer solo but it's true that were get noticed in multi-starrer," she said.
The actress is now looking forward to Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Yaara". The film, which also stars Amit Sadh, has begun filming.

"It is very nice to work with a director like Tigmanshu Dhulia. He is someone with a very unique perspective and it is always wonderful to work with someone who holds performances in such great height and I really like the premise of the movie and my character," Shruti said.
"I want to be a pan-India artist. It is a conscious decision that I do films in different languages. My South Indian audience matters to me a lot so I like when they watch my Bollywood films. It feels great," she said.
Before making it big as an actress, Shruti started her showbiz career as a singer and recent lent her voice in "Tevar".
Asked if she would like to take up playback singing seriously now, Shruti said, "I am open to playback singing but only if my acting schedule permits. I would love to sing for myself in my films but that depends on the director and if the makers think my voice is needed," she said.
