Shweta wins 9th leg of Women PGTI tour

Rookie Shweta Galande clinched her maiden title on the Hero Women's Professional Golf Tour 2013, winning the ninth leg, where she managed a 69 in the third and final round, here today.
Shweta finished with a total score of 201 (66,66,69) to take home the winners trophy.
Veteran Smriti Mehra ended runners up, three shots behind Shweta. Sharmila Nicollet with a total score of 208 finished third after the final round at the picturesque Clover Greens golf course.
Shweta hit three birdies on the 2nd, 6th and 17th holes. as against two bogeys on the 3rd and 18th holes. Smriti played a power-packed final round carding the day's best score of five under 65 with seven birdies on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 12th, 13th and 14th holes and with two bogeys on the 8th and 11th holes.
Sharmila, who came back to the tour post an ankle injury, found four birdies on the 1st, 7th, 12th and 17th holes and three bogeys on the 4th, 6th and 11th holes today.
Chandigarh's Sanniya Sharma (75, 67, 67) and local amateur Aditi Ashok (68, 70, 71) finished tied fourth with identical total of 209 after the final round.
Delhi golfer Vani Kapoor finished fifth with a total score of 210 (73, 67, 70) after 54 holes.
The Tour now moves to the Royal Springs Golf course in Srinagar, J&K for the 10th leg from the 16th-19th September 2013.
