Shyam Rajak becomes Dy Leader of House in Bihar Assembly

Senior JD(U) member and former minister Shyam Rajak was today appointed Deputy Leader of House in Bihar Assembly.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made recommendation to this effect, Secretary of Legislative Assembly Rajiv Kumar said.
Rajak thanked the Chief Minister and said he would try his best to come good on the faith shown in him by the leader.
Rajak, MLA from Phulwarisharif (reserved) seat in Patna district, was not included as a minister in the JD(U)-RJD-Congress combine government.
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shrawan Kumar has been retained as Chief Whip of the coalition in the House.
Senior RJD MLA and former minister Lalit Yadav has been nominated as Deputy Chief Whip of the ruling grouping in the House.
Shrawan Kumar said seven legislators of the three parties have been named as Whip.

They are Ramsevak Singh, Narendra Kumar Neeraj, Ratnesh Sada (all JD-U), Mohammad Nemutullah, Rajendra Ram (RJD), and Sarvjit Kumar (all RJD) and Dr Javed (Congress).
He said Ashok Kumar Munna, MLA from Warisnagar, has been nominated as Treasurer of JD(U).
Rajesh Kumar of RJD has been named as Deputy Chief Whip of the ruling coalition in Legislative Council. Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Gandhi is the Chief Whip in the Council.
