SI on poll duty dies after head injury

A sub-inspector of Provincial Armed Constabulary on poll duty died here today allegedly due to a head injury, police said.
SI Phool Singh, who had come on panchayat election duty, was found injured near Mandi premises when he has gone out for morning walk, Additional Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Dixit said.
He was taken to the district hospital and was later referred to Moradabad where he died, the ASP said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation was underway, Dixit added.
