Siemens bag Rs 228 crore orders from Reliance Industries

Orders are for supply of four steam turbine generation units

Siemens Ltd has bagged orders worth Rs 228 crore from Reliance Industries for supplying steam turbine generation units to its Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat.

The orders are for supply of four steam turbine generation units.

"Reliance Industries is in the process of expansion of its J3 petrochemical complex at Jamnagar, Gujarat," Siemens Ltd, a diversified entity, said in a regulatory filing today.

The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply and commissioning of steam turbine generation units, which would be manufactured at Siemen's Vadodara factory.

Shares of Siemens fell nearly three per cent to close at Rs 855.70 on the BSE.
