Sikh community members hold 'Walk for Justice'
Press Trust of India New Delhi Scores of members of the Sikh community this evening took out a march from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to Jantar Mantar here in protest over the recent revelation that the then central government had sought help from Britain for Operation Bluestar in 1984.
Bearing torches, the participants in the 'Walk for Justice' wanted to go up till the PM's residence, but were stopped by police at Jantar Mantar.
"Congress's dealing with the Sikhs has been atrocious and full of cruelty.
"Operation Bluestar was planned by the Congress government with the help of the British government," said Manjit Singh GK said, president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC).
Meanwhile, talking about the anti-Sikh riots, Singh said that, "Not a single person has been indicted so far for involvement in the 1984 riots and the victims are still struggling for basic amenities.
