"A national-level ethnic Sikh conference will be held here on August 17 and 18," All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina told reporters here.
He said the conference would highlight sufferings of the community and "lackadaisical" attitude of the authorities in mitigating problems plaguing Sikhs in Jammu and Kashmir.
Raina said prominent Sikh leaders, intellectuals and MPs would attend the conference.
"The government has always turned a blind eye to our genuine demands and shown an anti-Sikh approach," he said.
