Sikkim observes International Yoga Day

Second International Yoga Day was observed in Sikkim today along with rest of the country.
Hundreds of students, Army, ITBP and SSB personnel, cadets of NCC, members of Art of Living and yoga enthusiasts took part in the drill guided by Yoga instructor from AYUSH Sikkim Jagannath Niroula at Paljor Stadium at the state level function.
Governor Shriniwas Patil graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Chief Minister Pawan Chamling was the guest of honour along with host of dignitaries.
In his short address, the Governor saluted the spirit and the enthusiasm of the participants and hoped that Sikkim will keep smiling and strive towards being the healthiest state in the country.
Earlier the function began with the welcome note by Minister of Health A.K Ghatani.
