Silver futures climb 0.20% on firm Asian cues

Tracking a firm trend in Asian markets, silver prices were up by 0.20 per cent at Rs 41,100 per kg in futures trading today as traders built up fresh positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 83, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 41,100 per kg in a business turnover of 399 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month March next year was trading higher by Rs 78 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 41,755 per kg in 21 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by participants in line with a firm trend in Asian trading, mainly influenced silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.33 per cent to USD 16.98 an ounce in Singapore.
