Silver prices rose by Rs 116 to reach Rs 38,818 per kg in futures trading today after speculators created fresh positions amid a firm trend in precious metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 116, or 0.30 per cent, at Rs 38,818 per kg, in a business turnover of 614 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December was trading higher by Rs 108, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 38,056 per kg in 666 lots.
