Silver futures extend gain, up 0.47% on global cues

Silver prices rose further by 0.47 per cent to Rs 46,050 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in building up positions in tandem with a firm trend in precious metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 216 or 0.47 per cent to Rs 46,050 per kg in business turnover of 7,122 lots.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in March next year was trading higher by Rs 191 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 46,889 per kg in 144 lots.
Analysts said increasing of positions by participants in line with a firm trend in global markets, mainly kept silver prices higher at futures trade.
Globally, silver rose 0.92 per cent to USD 19.27 an ounce in London.
