Silver prices fell by Rs 22 to Rs 41,497 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend in global markets.

The metal for delivery in far-month September fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 42,244 per kg in 20 lots.

Traders attributed the fall in silver in futures trade to a weak trajectory in global markets and emergence of profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels.
