Silver prices rose by Rs 120 to Rs 39,098 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions amid a firming trend in precious metals overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March next year traded higher by Rs 120, or 0.31%, at Rs 39,098 per kg in a business turnover of just one lot.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 102, or 0.27%, to Rs 38,465 per kg in 504 lots.
Meanwhile, silver was up 0.50% at USD 17.27 an ounce in Singapore today.
