At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month March next year contract was up by Rs 96, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 37,136 per kg in a business turnover of 5,890 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in current month gained Rs 65, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 36,350 per kg in 38 lots.
Analysts said speculators created fresh positions in tandem with higher global trend and a recovery at domestic spot markets on wedding season demand, pushing silver prices higher at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver prices rose by Rs 100 to Rs 37,000 per kg in the national capital today.
