At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month May moved up by Rs 46, or 0.11 per cent to Rs 42,075 per kg in business turnover of 8 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in March contracts traded higher by Rs 33, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 41,465 per kg in 238 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metals overseas as the dollar slipped, raising demand for a safe-haven.
