At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in in far-month September went up by Rs 82, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 43,265 per kg in a business turnover of 1,875 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 62, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 42,454 per kg in 9,231 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by traders, driven by a firm trend in precious metals overseas as the fallout from the UK's decision to leave the European Union boosted haven demand, mainly influenced silver prices at futures trade.
