Silver prices edged higher by 0.26% to Rs 35,790 per kg in futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May was up by Rs 93, or 0.26%, to Rs 35,790 per kg in a business turnover of 1,534 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 22, or 0.06%, to Rs 36,254 per kg in 11 lots.
Meanwhile, silver traded 0.4% higher at $15.73 an ounce in Singapore.
