Silver prices were up by 0.30% to Rs 37,810 per kg in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions amid firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May rose by Rs 112, or 0.30% to Rs 37,810 per kg in a business turnover of 52 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in March gained Rs 92, or 0.25% to Rs 37,311 per kg in 1,758 lots.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.43% to USD 15.29 an ounce in Singapore.
