Silver futures today dropped 0.41% to Rs 34,537 per kg as participants lightened their positions, tracking a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December was trading lower by Rs 143, or 0.41%, to Rs 34,537 per kg in a business turnover of 19 lots.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in September also shed Rs 124, or 0.37% to Rs 33,780 per kg with turnover of 401 lots.
Meanwhile, silver declined as much as 1.1% to $14.50 an ounce in Singapore today, the lowest level since December last year.
