Silver prices moved up by 0.77% to Rs 46,481 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September shot up by Rs 356 or 0.77% to Rs 46,481 per kg in business turnover of 1,179 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December contracts traded higher by Rs 347, or 0.73% to Rs 47,583 per kg in 55 lots.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.56% to $19.85 an ounce in Singapore.

Analysts said speculators enlarged positions in tune with higher global trend, mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
