Silver futures up 0.15% on global cues

Silver prices rose 0.15 per cent to Rs 42,934 per kg in futures trade today after traders raised bets largely in tune with a firming trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month May traded higher by Rs 63, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 42,934 per kg, in a business turnover of five lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month March rose by Rs 28, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 42,373 per kg in 427 lots.
In the international market, silver gained 0.03 per cent to USD 17.75 an ounce in Singapore today.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the global market, mainly contributed to the rise in silver futures.
