Silver prices were up by 0.17% to Rs 33,723 per kg in futures trade today largely in step with a better trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March edged up by Rs 57, or 0.17%, to Rs 33,723 per kg, in a business turnover of 143 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month May rose by Rs 55, or 0.16%, to Rs 34,142 per kg in moderate volume of just two lots.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the global market, mainly supported the upside in silver futures here.
