Taking positive cue from overseas market, silver prices edged higher by Rs 183 to Rs 36,585 per kg in futures trade today after speculators enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July contracts was up by Rs 183 or 0.50% to Rs 36,585 per kg in business turnover of 44 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May month contracts traded higher by Rs 176 or 0.49% to Rs 36,126 per kg in 430 lots.
Meanwhile, silver advanced as much as 0.6% $15.83 an ounce in Singapore.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metals as conflicting US data clouded the outlook for higher rates before Federal Reserve policy makers meet this week.
