Silver prices were up by Rs 188 to Rs 34,244 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged fresh positions amid a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September month rose by Rs 188, or 0.55% to Rs 34,244 per kg in business turnover of 209 lots.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in far-month December contracts gained Rs 185, or 0.53% to Rs 34,950 per kg in 117 lots.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.34% to $14.57 an ounce in Singapore today.
