At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 184, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 37,601 per kg in a business turnover of 209 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 168, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 37,031 per kg in 7,804 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators, taking positive cues from overseas markets after weak dollar boosted appeal for the precious metals, mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
